- What is an adviser? Hide
Each student is assigned an adviser at the beginning of her freshman year. An adviser is a faculty member with whom the student has daily contact. Advisers help students choose classes, assist with the college process, and discuss other day-to-day concerns. Advisers also serve as a contact person for the parents. Advisee groups consist of 10-15 students from all four year levels, and students may keep the same adviser all four years.
- What is your tuition? Hide
The tuition for the 2008-2009 school year is $10,500.
- What is the uniform? Hide
The uniform consists of a gray cord kilt (fall and spring) and a black plaid kilt (winter), white blouse, red blazer, selected red or black sweater, and black buck oxfords. Uniforms are available through Flynn and O'Hara.

99% of the graduating class of 2008 went immediately on to college.

Mercy is located at 1300 E. Northern Parkway, between Loch Raven Boulevard and The Alameda.
- Do you have a cafeteria? Hide
There is a full-size cafeteria and a canteen with a variety of machines the students may purchase from, including fresh sandwiches, pasta, and salads. A hot lunch program is available approximately once each month, through the canteen service and Chick-Fil-A.
- What is your schedule like? Hide
Classes are 75 minutes long, meeting every other day in a 4-period day. Lunch is built into the schedule and freshmen have one 75-minute free period every other day.
- How do I know if Mercy is the right school for me? Hide
Be sure to attend our Open House and attend a high school night at a parochial school or a weekend fair. The best way to find out if Mercy is the right school for you is to spend the day with us in the fall of your 8th grade year. Contact Ms. Jacqueline Silling to schedule a visit.
- What sports do you offer? Hide
Mercy offers Varsity and JV teams in basketball, cheerleading, dance, cross country, field hockey, indoor and outdoor track, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball.

Amnesty International, Computer Club, Dance Troupe, Environmental Awareness Club, Footlighters (drama), Freshman Art Club, Garnet Staff (yearbook), Girls' Athletic Association, International Club, Lance Staff (literary magazine), McAuley Club (service), Mercy Ensemble Players, Mercy Choir, Mercy Madrigals, National Honor Society, Model Organization of American States, Pep Squad, SADD, Shield Staff (newspaper), Social Dancing Club, and Student Council .

Advanced Placement courses are offered in Introduction to Psychology, Calculus, Advanced Calculus, U.S. History, and World Literature
- How do students get to school? Hide
Many students carpool or use MTA bus service. You can contact the school for assistance in finding a carpool convenient to you. On-campus parking is available for all students.
- How much homework do students get? Hide
On average, students should expect about 45 minutes of homework per class each night.
