Fine Arts Overview
Here at Mercy, the arts have always been an important part of student life. The overall objective of the Fine Arts program is to provide every student with a foundational instruction in the arts, and to develop the natural talents in those who have a special inclination for the arts.
Students are encouraged to explore their creative gifts and share their talents in Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Dance, Music and Theatre Arts. With the opening of The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Auditorium Building in the fall of 2003, Mercy has expanded its facilities to include a dance studio, a drama studio, a choir room and a 700-seat auditorium, complete with state of the art sound and lighting. With this new space comes an expansion of the Arts curriculum and activities.
