Physical and Health Education

Physical and health education courses foster the development of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will contribute to a student's balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Physical and health education aims to empower students to understand and appreciate the value of being physically active while developing the motivation for making healthy and informed  life choices. Physical education includes personal skill development, team sports, lifetime sports, individual sports, health studies, and fitness testing and evaluation. Students are encouraged in their development of good health habits and improved physical fitness. There is also an emphasis on team building, good sportsmanship, and fair play.

One credit of physical education is required. Most students fulfill this requirement by taking Physical Education I and II, which include requirements for health education.
