Exciting Announcement from the Alumnae Office

Office of Advancement
Please welcome Maeve Burke ’10, who will be serving as alumnae engagement manager, to Mercy High School’s advancement team!
Dear Alumnae,

Please join me in welcoming Maeve Burke ’10, who will be serving as alumnae engagement manager, to Mercy High School’s advancement team. In her new role, Maeve will focus on engaging our 8,000+ graduates through events, communications, volunteer management, and fundraising. She will be part of a great team that includes Karen Lippy Maimone ’92, P’19, alumnae engagement associate; Niakia Cheese, director of development & equity and inclusion; Theresa Hart, database and gift processing manager; and Carolyn Panzer, director of advancement.
Maeve and Karen will work together to provide support to and connect with our alumnae. Karen will be responsible for managing the Alumnae Newsletter, Alumnae Highlights, Class Notes, and life events. Meanwhile, Maeve will focus on reunions, alumnae events, the Alumnae Association, life events, and general inquiries. Please visit here for contact information for our alumnae team!

A 2010 Mercy graduate, Maeve holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual arts with a concentration in photography from Loyola University Maryland. She also has a certificate in graphic design from the Community College of Baltimore County. Maeve joins our team from Irvin Simon Photographers, a school photography company where she worked for seven years, most recently as their creative director. At Irvin Simon, Maeve was responsible for managing their portfolio of customers, designing materials that engaged and retained their clients, maintaining accurate client data, managing their client communications, and developing their customer engagement process. Maeve’s experience and skills transfer well into her new role at Mercy!

Maeve is thrilled to return to her alma mater, a place of many happy memories. Her favorite memory is playing on the varsity golf team and being driven on the minibus by Mary Ella Marion ’76, who was the athletic director when Maeve was a student. Maeve said, “Those days were always full of fun and laughter!” Field Day is Maeve’s favorite Mercy tradition. The fun and camaraderie between the classes is a cherished memory. In the years since graduating, Maeve has appreciated the warmth and hospitality she has felt whenever she visited our campus. Maeve noted, “I wanted to experience that feeling every day; I missed it.”

Outside of work, Maeve enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her dog, Vixen. Maeve also loves photography, art, and architecture; her goal is to travel through Europe and visit all the great museums.
Please help us offer a warm Mercy welcome to Maeve. She looks forward to meeting alumnae in person at our Garnet Gala on March 22 and at alumnae activities throughout the year. Welcome, Maeve!

Warmest regards,

Mary Beth Lennon ’85
