Congratulations to Mercy’s director of communications and marketing!
On July 8, The Daily Record announced their 2025 Leading Women Under 40, which included Mercy High School’s director of communications and marketing, Heather Mork.

A Baltimore native, Ms. Mork is in her tenth year serving in independent schools, having previously been on the faculty of The Seton Keough High School, Severn School, and Harrisburg Academy. Ms. Mork is now in her second stint at Mercy High School, having worked earlier as auditorium manager and, during the pandemic, as interim communications specialist. Returning to Mercy in 2023 as director of communications and marketing, Ms. Mork has worked tirelessly to celebrate the successes of our 445 Mercy Girls while elevating Mercy High School’s reputation throughout the community. Ms. Mork continues to assist with theatrical production for numerous dance companies throughout Baltimore.

The Leading Women Under 40 Awards honor women who are 40 years of age and younger for accomplishments they have made so far in their careers. Winners were selected for their professional experience, community involvement, and commitment to inspiring change. Mary Beth Lennon, president of Mercy High School, noted, “In November, Heather was a leader in designing the launch of our largest and most ambitious capital campaign, The Spirit of Mercy: Advancing the Legacy of the Sisters of Mercy, which focuses on closing the philanthropic gap between girls and boys schools. Heather’s impact on Mercy and the broader community will be long lasting.” As an artist, Heather has created production elements that truly elevate the vision of choreographers. Donna Jacobs, founder of Morton Street Dance Center and Full Circle Dance Company, says, “Heather’s collaboration on projects that explore social issues speaks to her dedication to fostering positive change through art. I am confident that she will continue to be a driving force professionally and in the arts community for years to come.”

Ms. Mork is a graduate of Mount de Sales Academy in Catonsville, Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University in theatre, design and production in 2010 and her Master of Arts degree in emerging media from Loyola University Maryland in 2023. Of this honor, Ms. Mork says, “Over the past decade, members of Mercy’s faculty and staff have been recognized for their excellence and impact by The Daily Record, Baltimore Business Journal, National Business Officers Association, and the Archdiocese of Baltimore. I am honored to receive this recognition, joining many of my colleagues who show our Mercy Girls that anything is possible.”
